Privacy policy

Courtside Squash is built so that your match data never leaves your device. This policy explains exactly what that means, and the narrow exception.
What stays on your device
Everything you create in the app is stored locally on your device and nowhere else:
- Match results, per-game scores and the point-by-point event log
- Player names you type in, and the recent-name suggestions built from them
- Your settings: haptics, keep screen awake, default scoring system, theme
There is no account, no sign in, and no server belonging to us. We cannot see your matches, because they are never sent anywhere. If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it. You can also delete any individual match from the history screen at any time.
What we do not do
- We do not collect usage analytics: no screen views, no session tracking, no record of how you use the app.
- We do not use advertising, ad networks or ad identifiers.
- We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app never asks for permission to do so.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone.
- The app does not request your location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
Courtside Pro and the store service
Courtside Pro is a single one-off purchase, handled by Apple's App Store or Google Play together with RevenueCat, the service we use to validate purchases and to restore them on your other devices.
Because the app has to know whether you already own Pro, it contacts RevenueCat each time it launches, whether or not you have ever bought anything. At that point RevenueCat receives:
- A randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier, created on your device the first time the app runs. It is not derived from your name, your email address, or any identifier used for advertising.
If you buy Pro, or restore an earlier purchase, RevenueCat also receives:
- The purchase receipt issued by Apple or Google, and the country of your store account.
RevenueCat acts as our data processor for this and nothing else. We never receive your name, email address, or payment details from it. Apple and Google handle payment itself; we never see your card details at any point.
Nothing else is sent. Your matches, the player names you type and your settings are never transmitted, whether or not you buy Pro.

Children
The app is rated for all ages and collects nothing that could identify anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date at the top will change.
